An analysis tool specially for pdf files PDF-Analyzer 4.0 The PDF-Analyzer is a tool extracting all attributes from pdf files. You can use it from the explorer contextmenu and "stand alone", too. You can see all attributes/properties of a selected pdf file. The document informations e.g. titles, topic affiliation, page layout or also pagecount over security-relevant things like data compression, copying permission, encryption strength, passwordsetting. Textextraction, textanalysis and xml-export!

I was interested in software that could read the pdf and give me complete information about the fonts being used including whether they were embedded or subsetted; and also if it could tell me which characters were being subsetted. PDF-Analyzer did not show me this. The PDFLib people have a cool free Adobe Reader plugin, PDFLib Font Reporter that does this really well.

PDF attributes The program only shows the attributes of the PDF, but is not able to change them. It did not help me.On the other hand, the visualization is very good.

My review I was looking for program to ensure myself that my PDF has really CMYK colors.PDF Analyzer did what I wanted, and showed lots of other useful info, too.
